FAQ You!!

FAQ You!!

With the impending release of "I've Got Allergies You Know - Despicable Man Collection Vol. 1" many people have been sending me questions. Questions that I'm going to paraphrase in a way that I can answer as many as possible in as few answers as possible.

But first, here's another sneak preview of some of the "Desman The Barbarian" artwork-

Q: Why should I buy a book of cartoons I can read on the Internet for free?
A: There are numerous reasons that paying money for content you've already seen is worthwhile-
  • In book form you can read it on the toilet - this is possible with laptops and other forms of portable digital devices, but if you have a computer or digital reader just for your toilet, you have more than enough money to give to me anyway.
  • There is going to be special bonus material not available in its completed form anywhere else- as well as the highly publicized "Desman the Barbarian" there is to be another worthwhile exclusive bonus story.
  • The Despicable Man Corporation ( or Desmanco.) is not a charity, and if it was, giving away cartoons and comics for free probably doesn't qualify as a charitable cause.
Q: How long is this so called collection?
A: The as yet unfinished book is looking like it will be 56 pages

Q: What's in it?
A: There will be 30 "Despicable Man" strips, 10 "Lord Desmond up from London Town", 2 pages of "Despictionary" and a whopping 10 pages of Bonus story(s)!!

Q: When/Where can I get it?
A: It will be available from April 1st at the "Phatsville Comix" booth at Supanova Brisbane, also (I suspect) at the launch of "Ashcan 2" at Juggler's Art Space April 9th. Then other places around that zines and independent comics are sold. And eventually online Etsy.com

Q: How much will it cost to buy?
A: The financing hasn't been finalized yet, but probably $8 direct sale, $10 online and $12 through stores

Q:Aren't these "Bonus Stories" just you photocopying other artist's work, changing the face a bit and calling it a "Despicable Man" story?
A: NO MORE QUESTIONS...it's ..er, post-modern?
